Welcome to Wizzoplanes, the RC Modeling site built for RC Modelers everywhere.
Here you will find ideas, videos, photos, workshop builds and my diary Wizzo’s words.

Wizzo’s workshop takes you into the “dusty “ room to walk through builds, repairs and other
general workshop activities

Wizzo’s Words, snippets of information aimed at the beginner, all the basics of how to
glue bits of wood together and then fly it

Wizzo’s Research Area gives you a look at the detail on the full size aircraft, providing the scale
builder with a point of reference, where available video of both full size and flying models
have been incuded.

Wizzo’s Videos, a wide selection of model aircraft videos, many from Youtube, many I filmed
and many received from friends, I accept no ownership or claims to these videos if you wish to download them, feel free.

Wizzo mail, with just one click you can gripe and groan about my web site, remember, the views expressed here are mine alone. However I am a firm promoter of the safe building and operation of model Aircraft irrespective of their size.

WHO’s WIZZO

Hi,

Its me,I thought you might like to know a bit about the brains behind the page. I have been building, flying and as you can see crashing RC Aircraft for a little over 16 years now. Originally I am from the UK but due to work I have spent the last 14 years working and living overseas, mostly in Latin America and now in Portugal. I am becoming increasing interested in scale projects, but that does not mean I intend to exclude the good old Saturday flyer. Hopefully this site will encourage more modelers to spend a little more time on the detail of their aircraft and if possible have a go at more close to scale aircraft.

I, like many modelers, work on very tight purse strings, so if I can identify money saving ideas or “top Tips” I will be passing them on to you. Big projects on the way are my 1/3 scale Sopwith Pup, and further down the line we will see a 1/3 scale Sopwith Triplane. Both builds will be covered in my Wizzo’s Workshop section. Take your time and enjoy the site, if you have any feedback please feel free to use the web mail link. I hope you like large model aircraft , because on Wizzoplanes that’s what its about.

News Flash

Sorry to say it is good bye sunshine hello rain!, having now been recalled to the UK, I will be back in the land of the grey and moody from January. So I have stepped up building on the Pup to get it into a safe state ready for shipment, this is where I am today.

There are only two types of Model aircraft:
Those that have crashed and
Those that are going to Crash
